Content Specification

Pre-disaster situation mapping products provide relevant and up-to-date thematic information that can help Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid agencies to plan for contingencies. For example location of actors and what they do in the operational theatre (who-what-where), road access, climatic conditions, health centres, security zones etc.
Usually, pre-disaster situation products are built “on top” of geographic reference products, highlighting the situation before a crisis or natural disaster. Pre-disaster situation products can be updated frequently.

Scale, Area

• Scale: 1:25,000 – 1:500,000.
• Area: 245 - 96500 km²

(Dependent upon users’ requirements and size of AOI.)

Output formats

Standard ouput formats are:

• Digital maps (jpg, tif, pdf) incl. world-file and KMZ-file.
  • Standard print size: DIN A1;
  • On demand print size: DIN A3.
• Vector data (shapefile).

Accuracy

• Geometric accuracy: 5 pixel for 1m data, up to 1 pixel for >100m data.
• Thematic accuracy: > 75%

Delivery-Time

Within 30 working days after satellite data reception.
